I am a freelance science journalist and photographer currently based in Missoula, Montana. I write about wildlife and the environment and do most of my reporting with my camera in hand. My work has been published in The Guardian, Bozeman MagazineExplore Big Sky and other publications. Before my career in journalism, I worked as a wildlife biologist and traveled around the world studying species from tigers in Nepal to tropical birds in the Dominican Republic.
